All Points West Grain and Malt Whiskey
About All Points West Grain and Malt Whiskey
Featured Artisan: Curiada Launch Collections
All Points West Distillery revived the practice of using corn in Pot Still Whiskey, which was originally deemed too American by the European whiskey gatekeepers. Founder, Gil Spaier is the first distiller to commercially make Irish-style-pot-still whiskey with corn in over 100 years.
Until now only available in a few retail locations in NJ & NY, we're pleased to share the exceptional craft of this award-winning distillery with whiskey lovers all over.
Tasting Notes
Malted barley on the nose, heather and honey on the palate with a full round finish. - John Barley Corn Awards
Suggested Serves
- The barley, heather, and honey add delicious notes to a legit (no mix allowed) whiskey sour
- Try the Emerald, a riff on the Manhattan, which if our calculations hold up, should drop you in the North Atlantic Ocean, as the midway point between the ryes of New York and the Irish whiskeys famous on the Emerald Isle
Production Notes
This special bottle is made with a completely dominant amount of corn, in contrast to the Malt and Grain Pot Still Whiskey (both are completely unique expressions on the way from traditional Irish Pot Still Whiskey to American Bourbon.) The Grain and Malt Whiskey is aged, like most-all Irish whiskey, in used American oak barrels.
