"Incredible, brilliant, winner of the night" - Manchester Whiskey Club, England
|Tasting Notes||Superb flavor with notes of cedar and light smoky nuances. Bold, juicy fruits, with lots of depth. Finds that perfect middle ground between a bourbon and an Irish whiskey.|
|Production Notes||Distilled from Irish malt, corn, German malt, and water from the Newark Watersheds in the Appalachian Highlands. Made with corn mash reviving the use of a pot still method, which had fallen out of favor over the last century. Aged in virgin American white oak barrels.|
Gil Spaier has been referred to as the 'winning whiskey architect;' in a previous life, he was an architect with an expertise in restoring Manhattan townhomes. Now, as a whiskey-maker since 2017 in the historic Ironbound neighborhood of Newark, NJ, his spirits, just out of the gate, have won three 2019 awards.

I'm new to the world of whiskey, so pardon my lack of notes. This is just plain delicious. If you like bocks, browns and amber beer, this should suit you very well. No harshness, but lots of flavor. Would buy a case if they were available. Was this helpful?
