Koch el Mezcal Espadín Joven - San Baltazar Guelavila is made with 100% farm-grown agave, aged between 7-9 years.  

“Thanks to a light stripe of coconut and pineapple flavor hiding behind the smoke and pepper, this is a mezcal that really makes a cocktail sing!” raves Chris Elford, this cocktail's creator. But while the acid and proof make this one really fun to mix with, the fruity, musty aromas, sweet and slightly bitter notes of cooked agave on the palate, and long, spicy finish make it a mezcal that’s also a pleasure to sip neat.

About the Mystic Brew Old Fashioned Cocktail Kit from Shaker & Spoon

This old fashioned melds mezcal with a bit of well-seasoned boldness. The Mystic Brew ascends to a faraway, robust realm with Angostura bitters and a spiced cold brew syrup that flavors rich coffee with star anise, cardamom, and clove. Swirl it up and complete this official cocktail of the otherworldly with two very mezcal-friendly garnishes: an uplifting spritz of grapefruit oil and a smoldering cinnamon stick.

Chris Elford, creator of this original cocktail, saw early success at Amor y Amargo and Kings County Distillery, before creating the beer haven Proletariat in the East Village of NYC. He then made the move to Seattle and with his partner, Anu, opened No Anchor (a James Beard semifinalist for best new restaurant and outstanding bar program) and Navy Strength (the winner of Best New American Cocktail Bar at the 2018 Spirited Awards). Here Today Brewery & Kitchen, his newest project, opened this year on the Seattle waterfront.
