Production Notes

This starts with the flagship Four Port Rum from Virago, which is a blend of four different Caribbean rums, all of different styles and flavors:

Barbados, aged 8 years, pot and column distilled
Jamaica, aged 4 years, pot distilled
Nicaragua, aged 5-8 years, column distilled
Panama, aged 6 years, column distilled

That liquid is then finished for six months in Pedro Ximénez Sherry Casks, providing wonderful nuance and depth to the flagship rum.

Founder Facts

Virago Spirits was founded by a family passionate about hospitality and the enjoyment of excellent food and beverages. The four founding family members have deep professional expertise in law, sales, investment banking, marketing, and human resources. In creating Virago Spirits, they've joined their areas of expertise with their personal passions for the art and science of distilling and blending and the taste of a delicious, unique, high-quality spirit. The Richmond, VA distillery is located in a former woodworking plant.
