Elsewhere Blood Orange Aperitif
About Elsewhere Blood Orange Aperitif
Spirits infused with a menagerie of botanicals is cut with the juice and oils from whole fresh blood oranges freshly picked from independent orchards on the West Coast. The peak season blood oranges are halved and macerate in the botanical spirits for several weeks before the juice, alcohol and citrus oils are pressed off.
Elsewhere dazzles in a spritz and combines with whiskey for an exotic and foolproof riff on an Old Fashioned or sips beautifully on its own as an aperitif / digestif.
Tasting Notes for Elsewhere Blood Orange Aperitif
Blood orange, cardamom, pink peppercorns and a bitter sweet finish steal the show.

Production Notes
Freshly picked blood oranges are halved and macerate in Matchbook spirits made from certified organic NY corn and a host of botanicals including cardamom, pink peppercorns, quassia, gentian and cinnamon. The alcohol is milled, mashed fermented and distilled in house at Matchbook Distilling Co. on the North Fork of Long Island. After a several week maceration with the blood oranges and botanicals, the liquid is pressed off of the oranges, the alcohol in volume cut in half by the juice. Finished with a touch of sugar to balance out the bitter and tannic elements.
