Cocktail Description

The Green Mule takes the classic Moscow Mule template and spins it into something wonderfully herbal and just a little mysterious, thanks to a bold splash of Pernod Absinthe.

You'll taste bright lime tartness upfront, quickly followed by the licorice-tinged, anise-forward character of absinthe, all mellowed by sugar cane syrup and lifted by the spicy, effervescent kick of ginger beer. The result is a refreshing highball that's both familiar and unexpected, with enough complexity to keep you coming back for another sip. This one shines on warm afternoons or as a pre-dinner aperitif when you want something that stimulates the appetite without weighing you down. Making it is straightforward—just a quick shake and a gentle stir—so even home bartenders can pull it off with ease. Pair the Green Mule with light, herbaceous dishes like grilled shrimp with cilantro, Vietnamese spring rolls, or a crisp green salad with citrus vinaigrette; the absinthe's herbal notes and the ginger's spice complement fresh, zesty flavors beautifully. It's a drink that feels both casual and special, perfect for those moments when you want something a little different without too much fuss.
