I'm Bryan, "The Rum Champion." In just two years, I transformed my passion for rum from a casual curiosity into a full-time career. While others were baking bread during the pandemic, I was deconstructing tiki cocktails and exploring rum’s endless diversity. By September 2022, I started my Instagram page (@therumchampion) inspired by Ed Hamilton, Marie King, Martin Cate, and Beachbum Berry.
In January 2023, I started hosting rum parties for friends, which quickly evolved into the Rum Curious Club (RCC). What began in my LA apartment with 12 people has grown to 1,300+ members.
Now, I host rum education events from San Francisco to San Diego and represent many rum/rhum brands. I’ve tasted over 1,400 rums from 78 countries and have a collection of 640 bottles. I’m just getting started.
In other words, I am a rum-obsessed lunatic who's turned my passion into a career.
