Clean, crisp, tasty Brennivín. Nice flavor like herbal schnapps, very easy drinking. Maybe more like caraway vodka? Good with a variety of foods and beers. Love me some Black Death.

Flying into Keflavik my friend and I found ourselves weary from Jet Lag and many hours of travel. As we sat at the hotel bar waiting for our rooms to be ready we asked for a local drink and were served Brennevin ice cold and neat. We were immediately brought back to life with the cool, crisp, and flavourful mouthful of boozy wonderful.
I've been looking for Brenevin ever since and this is the first time in 5 years I've found it for sale. I couldn't be happier.
After a trip to Iceland, we decided to make some Icelandic inspired meals for the family. To kick it off, we served cold Brennivin with tubed meats and cheeses. Everyone had an opinion and the bottle was gone by the end. Loved it.
