Dansk Mjod Viking Blod Mead is a Other Mead from the Dansk Mead brand crafted in Denmark .

Dansk Mjod Viking Blod Mead is a unique and potent honey wine that blends traditional mead-making techniques with a bold twist. This Danish creation incorporates hibiscus and hops into its recipe, resulting in a complex flavor profile that balances sweetness with subtle bitterness and floral notes. Interestingly, Viking Blod Mead is crafted using an ancient recipe discovered in the 1700s, which was allegedly based on the descriptions of mead found in old Norse sagas. This connection to Viking lore and history adds an extra layer of intrigue to this already fascinating beverage.

Why We Love It

Cocktail enthusiasts should embrace Dansk Mjod Viking Blod Mead for its rich historical roots and unique flavor profile. Great Mead

This mead is what I consider a traditional mead. Taste a bit like wine with a kick. It is nce and smooth and flavoreful without being overly sweet or tart.

    Excellent mead

This mead surprised me with how complex and full its flavor was. Not just the honey notes, but the floral elements made it fun to pick apart and a great way to learn mead.

    Very Smooth and Rich

This is the first mead that I have ever tried, so keep that in mind. (I am also not a wine drinker.) I drank this at room temperature. I found this very smooth and rich. It had hints of honey while drinking. There was a definite honey after-taste for quit a while afterwards. I think the notes in the description describe it very well. It was rich enough that after two 3oz pours, I was done with it for the night. Will order again.

    Amazing!

I can taste the hibiscus and ginger, but neither overpower the great, basic taste of honey wine. This is very sweet, not dry, excellent for sipping. I find it best at room temperature, which also provides the best bouquet. This is simply the best mead I've ever had. I'd intended to share it with my brother (we're of Swede and Scottish descent), but I think I may drink this myself and buy another bottle (or two) to share. Bravo!
