From humble beginnings at the Shakespeare Tavern in Kingston Jamaica in 1825, Wray and Nephew Rum has grown to become synonymous with Jamaican rum and tiki cocktails.  Wray and Nephew first won international acclaim at spirits exhibitions in Europe in the 1860s.  By the end of the century, they had won gold medals in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. 

In 1916, they bought the other world famous Jamaican rum distillery -- Appleton Estates.  Today, brands controlled by Wray & Nephew, who are in turn owned by Campari, account for 90% of Jamaican rum.

Like Campari's other cocktailing classics, including Campari and Aperol, Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum is a must-have for passionate cocktailers.  It is a great addition to tiki classics like the Mai Tai, Rum Runner, and Siren's Kiss.  It's funk, punch, and legendary history can't be beat.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, this rum has a strong scent of banana and tropical fruits with hints of molasses. The palate is a complex blend of spices and fruit, with a bold and fiery finish that lingers long after the last sip.

Production Notes

Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum is made using a blend of sugar cane molasses and water from Jamaica's limestone springs. The rum is then aged for up to a year in oak barrels before being bottled at a whopping 63% ABV.
