Ingredients

2 oz Planteray Mister Fogg Navy Rum

.5 oz Suze

.75 oz grapefruit juice

.75 oz lime juice

.5 oz honey syrup (1:1 honey & water)

Directions

Shake all ingredients with ice until well chilled. Strain into a tumbler and top with a mountain of crushed ice. Garnish with a thin grapefruit wheel and bouquet of mint.

    Nice navy rum

    Good taste. It’s very kola nut forward with some spice. Heavier molasses note than most of the rums in this style. Closest rum I’ve tasted is Lost Spirits (RIP) navy.

    Mixes well and hides proof in a drink really well. Present but not overpowering.

    Great balance and flavor

    I was very impressed with this release. I'm not generally a fan of navy rums, as they can be harsh. However, this was a very well balanced rum that comes in at over 111 proof. It also mixes extremely well in a cocktail (I used it in a classic Mai Tai with a white rhum agricole).

    Love the high ABV off the bat. The flavor is very nice as well with some spices and just a touch of sweetness.
