What is Hendrick's Gin?
Hailing from Scotland, Hendrick's Gin is renowned for its unique flavour, the result of its distillation process that combines a traditional pot still with a unique and rare Carter-Head still. They are known for two main offerings - Hendrick's Gin and the more recent Hendrick's Orbium. The latter is a reinterpretation of the original, with extra infusions of quinine, wormwood and blue lotus blossom. Characterised by their signature infusion of cucumber and rose petals, Hendrick's Gins are truly distinct in a world of sameness.
What is the history of Hendrick's Gin?
Hendrick's Gin was first introduced to the world in 1999 by the William Grant & Sons Ltd., a company steeped in the rich heritage of distilling fine spirits since 1887. Inspired by the unprecedented approach of master distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie, Hendrick's was born out of a desire to challenge the norm and celebrate the difference. Today, it is created in minuscule batches of only 500 litres at a time, ensuring that the master maker can control every stage of the process with a meticulous care that matches the maverick spirit of the gin.
