Tiger Shark is best enjoyed neat or with just a splash of water.

Nose: Aggressively funky with a wave of overripe tropical fruit think bruised banana, fermented pineapple, and mango on the edge of spoilage. .

Palate: Thick and oily with an immediate hit of concentrated tropical fruit roasted pineapple, caramelized banana, and papaya.

Finish: Long and drying with lingering notes of dark cocoa, tobacco, and charred wood.

Velier Tiger Shark is a "vatted" rum composed entirely of 100% pot still marks from Jamaica, selected for their high ester content and matured exclusively in tropical conditions within ex-bourbon barrels a deliberate choice that intensifies the funky, ester-driven character while allowing the heavy oils and concentrated flavors to develop rapidly under the heat and humidity of the Caribbean climate.

• Unlike most premium rums that blend pot and column still distillates for balance, Tiger Shark is 100% pot still rum. Every drop comes from copper pots that produce wildly funky, ester-packed spirit. It's aged entirely in tropical conditions (where heat accelerates maturation dramatically) in ex-bourbon barrels, creating a concentrated flavor profile in far less time than it would take in Scotland or Kentucky. The result is a rum with such intense "hogo" (that signature Jamaican funk) that it practically roars at you from the glass.
