About Dansk Mjod Odin's Skull Mead

A Nordic Honey Wine blended with sour apple juice and spiced with hops and cinnamon. Odin, usually depicted one-eyed and long-bearded, is the Norse God associated with knowledge, victory, healing, and wisdom... but also death and sorcery. This brew is intended to honor Odin’s name: “Master of inspiration and fury.” As Odin’s Skull is brewed with 100% natural, and completely unfiltered apple juice there may be sediment at the bottom of the bottle. To maximize all flavors and aromas please pour carefully.

Suggested Serves

Can be enjoyed on its own, served chilled or warm. Can be used to great effect in cocktails as a substitute for sweet vermouth, simple syrup, or merely as a component to add a bit of sugar and spice to warming, cold weather drinks.

Production Notes

Dansk Mjod uses a traditional recipe from around 1700 of just honey and water for brewing the mead. But, they then blend it with sour apple juice and cinnamon. All ingredients are 100% natural. Gluten free.
