Move over Amaretto, this is the greatest almond-centric liqueur I've ever tasted. They both have their uses, but I find myself using this far more than I ever did the Amaretto. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel and a sweet marzipan, chicory pepper, and a hint of tart raspberry flavor profile combine to make a perfect neat sip if you like sweet treats, or an all-star liqueur for cocktails. My go-to with this is 1.5 oz gin, 0.5 oz Noyaux, and 0.25 oz red Italian bitter. Try it yourself!
This is a wonderful bottle for anyone who likes cherry-marzipan-bitter almond flavors. Natural tasting, not too sweet. Sipped straight from the bottle, it is delicious--but it has liqueur-level sweetness, of course. Very enjoyable in cocktails that balance that its sweetness and let the delicious aromas sing.
