Plymouth Gin is crafted using a unique blend of seven botanicals, including juniper berries, coriander seeds, and angelica root, which are steeped in pure grain spirit and water from Dartmoor National Park before being distilled in a 170-year-old copper still. What sets Plymouth apart is its use of 'single shot' distillation, where the spirit is only distilled once, resulting in a smoother, more full-bodied gin with a subtle earthiness that's become its hallmark.

• Plymouth Gin is one of only three gins in the world with a Protected Geographical Indication, meaning it can only be produced in Plymouth, England. This status puts it in the same category as Champagne and Cognac.
• During World War II, Plymouth Gin's distillery was bombed in the Plymouth Blitz. Despite severe damage, the staff managed to save a batch of gin that was aging in the cellars, which later became known as the "Bomber Strength" gin.
• Plymouth Gin was the preferred gin of the British Royal Navy for over two centuries. It was an essential ingredient in their daily ration of "Pink Gin," a mixture of Plymouth Gin and Angostura bitters believed to combat seasickness and malaria.
