Planteray 3 Stars is a tribute to the three stars of the Caribbean, with an award-winning blend of the region’s three primary terroirs: Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad. Barbados delivers richness along with a balanced palate, Trinidad adds grassy notes with finesse and Jamaica provides an emphatic tropical fruit-driven structure.
It redefines the white rum category. Instead of the flat and neutral profile found in many standard white rums, it offers incredible depth. The Trinidadian rum brings elegance, the Barbadian rum provides a rich vanilla backbone, and the Jamaican rum adds a distinct touch of tropical fruit funk.
This is an essential mixing rum for any home bar. Its absolute best application is as the base spirit in a classic Daiquiri or a Mojito. Its structure and flavor perfectly balance fresh citrus and sugar without getting lost in the mix.

Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel carefully blends unaged rums from Barbados and Jamaica with unaged and two to three year old rums from Trinidad. To add extra complexity, a small amount of ten year old Jamaican pot still rum is included. The aged components are carefully carbon filtered to remove color while retaining their mature flavors.

I did a comparison with the planetary 3 star and another light rum in a daiquiri and the other light rum disappeared in the cocktail and all I tasted was lime juice. With the planetary 3 star I got some very interesting flavors that wasn’t lime juice, I highly recommend this rum to anyone.

I know color doesn't mean much when it comes to rum because it can be filtered out. But if you have a drink calling for a white rum, use this and you won't go back to the Bacardi's of the world. Nothing but 5 stars for this 3 star rum! It's smooth with fruity notes, but also has a hint of that Jamaican funk that can add depth to a cocktail without being overpowering. And for a few more dollars to upgrade from the standard white rum it's a no brainer. You get more more value in flavor than that extra cost. Sort of like spending a little more by getting an artisanal soy sauce over a mass produced one, you don't realize what you were missing until you realized what you were missing.
I am surprised there are no reviews for this rum yet, it is currently my favorite white rum and stupidly cheap. This rum puts other white rums and even some gold rums in this category/price to shame, full of flavor to the point one could consider sipping or simply enjoying with lime and soda. Best for daiquris, best for mojitos, delicious with ginger ale, not a big fan with coke but otherwise this is a go-to white rum!
