Real coconut, harvested from the island’s rugged interior and Barbados Rum, distilled and tropically-aged just steps from the sea. Fresh, local coconuts are harvested at peak maturity, cracked open, and laid outside to naturally dry. These dried chunks of coconut are infused in a blend of column and pot still Barbadian rum, then this decadent infusion is blended with Barbados rum aged up to 3 years old. We’ve found this exquisite marriage of two icons of the Caribbean demands a perfect ratio: one coconut per liter of Barbados rum, nearly a whole coconut per bottle. Try it in a Coconut Negroni.

View RecipesI love this coconut rum. It has the pleasant flavor of natural coconut without the coying sweetness most other coconut rums have. It is great sipping neat, awesome in soda, and fantastic in a daiquiri.
Upon opening the bottle I was hit with a very strong milk chocolate scent! This carries through the tasting. Yes, the coconut is also there, but not nearly as much as something basic like Malibu. It's certainly tasty, I just don't know if it's what I would buy if I were looking for a strong coconut note. Perhaps it's more of a cordial, something to sip on.
