View RecipesI got this as number 3 based rum for cocktails from the Smuggler's Cove book and I quite enjoy the flavor. It has a fun brown butter with hints of caramel for the nose. And for the taste, the barrel really comes through bringing in some flavorful burnt sugar notes. Almost reminiscent of a long aged, light corn whiskey. It works neat or in a cocktail. I always keep a bottle at the home bar.
It was just okay. Better then most but still not up to the hype.
