Why We Love It
It completely reinvigorates the traditional Cognac profile. By aging a portion of the blend in sweet Sauternes wine casks and bottling it at a higher proof, Ferrand has created a spirit that is rich, honeyed, and bursting with fresh orchard fruit. It is an incredibly approachable yet complex Cognac that appeals to both traditional brandy purists and adventurous whiskey drinkers.
How to Drink It
The robust 92 proof makes it a powerhouse in classic cocktails. Its best application is as the base spirit in a French 75, an Old Fashioned, or a classic Sazerac. Because of its lush Sauternes finish, it is also highly rewarding when sipped neat or over a single large ice cube.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich and elegant with aromas of baked pear, sweet honey, vanilla bean, and delicate vine blossoms.
Palate: Opulent and round. Flavors of baked apple, apricot, and white grape mingle seamlessly with cinnamon, nutmeg, and roasted almond.
Finish: Lingering and fresh, leaving satisfying notes of dried fruit, sweet wine, and a very subtle hint of fresh mint.
How It's Made
This expression is made exclusively from Grande Champagne grapes. The wine is double distilled slowly on the lees in traditional Charentais copper pot stills to capture maximum flavor. The resulting spirit is aged in classic French oak barrels, but uniquely, 20% of the final blend is matured in sweet Sauternes wine casks to impart a lush and honeyed texture.
