Why We Love It
It masterfully balances three entirely different rum styles without losing the character of any of them. The elegance, vanilla, and gourmet mouthfeel of the Barbados rum seamlessly meld with the fresh, grassy notes of the Mauritian rum, while the Fijian rum provides a punch of tropical fruitiness and structural depth.
How to Drink It
Its best application is served neat or over a large ice cube to let you fully experience the complex, three-island evolution on the palate. In cocktails, its rich spice and fruit profile makes a phenomenal rum Old Fashioned or a "Sea-Groni" (a Negroni riff replacing the gin with Sealander).

Tasting Notes
Nose: A rich, inviting opening of baked pear, quince jelly, and gooseberry, complemented by warm Christmas spices and a whisper of smoky molasses.
Palate: Lush and delicate. Initial notes of clover honey and nutmeg give way to a complex mid-palate of licorice, vanilla fudge, and sweet cinnamon.
Finish: Long, lingering, and deeply satisfying, leaving traces of cooked apple, tonka bean, and dried banana..
How It's Made
Sealander uniquely blends molasses-based rums (from Barbados and Fiji) with fresh sugar cane juice rum (from Mauritius). After initial tropical aging, the barrels are shipped by sea. Planteray intentionally uses this trans-oceanic voyage as a "dynamic maturation" phase, where the constant motion of the waves accelerates the blending of flavors and introduces a subtle maritime influence. Finally, the rum arrives in France for its signature continental finish in French oak ex-Cognac casks.
