Tasting Notes
Nose: Bright agave aromas mingle with vanilla and caramel. Hints of cinnamon and toasted oak add depth. A subtle citrus note reminiscent of orange peel emerges.
Palate: Smooth and well-balanced. The agave sweetness is complemented by flavors of cooked pear and apple. Vanilla and butterscotch notes from oak aging are present but not overpowering. A touch of white pepper and nutmeg adds complexity.
Finish: Medium-long with a warm, spicy character. Cinnamon and clove linger alongside a gentle oakiness. The finish is clean with a subtle return of agave sweetness.
How It's Made
Mijenta Reposado Tequila is crafted from hand-selected, fully mature Blue Weber agave plants that are slow-cooked and distilled using both pot and column stills. After distillation, the tequila rests for six months in a blend of American white oak, French oak, and French acacia casks, imparting a unique complexity and depth of flavor to the final product.
