What is the history of Tequila Ocho?

Master Distiller Carlos Camarena teamed up with Tomas Estes, an ambassador for Tequila to the European Union, to conceptualize Tequila Ocho in 2008. It is a product of La Alteña Distillery, a family-owned distillery that has been producing world-class spirits since the early 1930s. The phenom behind Ocho lies in its revolutionary approach of highlighting 'terroir' in Tequila, the first brand ever to do so.
