Little Known Fact
Balcones Brimstone Whisky uses a proprietary smoking technique called "scrubbing," which infuses the spirit with smoky flavors by exposing the distillate to Texas scrub oak smoke.
Balcones Brimstone Whisky offers a complex and intense flavor profile that includes robust notes of campfire smoke, sweet caramel, and toasted oak, balanced by hints of chili pepper, dried fruit, and leather. The finish is warm, lingering, and evocative of a smoldering Texas bonfire.

I was first drawn to the almost purple color of this whisky and knew I had to get it. It is good neat, but even better on the rocks thanks to the slightly higher-than-normal ABV. Chilled, one can taste the difference in original grain (blue corn), as well as a wonderful smokiness. This isn't a Laphraoig, it isn't earthy, but it does have a nice smoke to it that isn't overpowering or all that one tastes. I'm looking forward to buying it again when I run out!Best ForRated 1.0 on a scale of minus 2 to 2
