Why We Love It
It's a one-of-a-kind cocktail ingredient you can't replicate with any other rum on the market.
Clairin Communal Rum is part of our Rum collection. It is crafted in Haiti.
Clairin Communal is a rare blend of four Haitian village distillates each fermented with the wild, ambient yeast unique to its own community making it the only rum in the world where the microbes literally living in the air of four different villages shaped the flavor of what's in your glass.
It's a one-of-a-kind cocktail ingredient you can't replicate with any other rum on the market.
It can be sipped neat or on the rocks, letting those fresh cane, herb, and mineral notes speak for themselves, though it's equally at home in classic sour-style or tropical cocktails.
Nose: Fresh-cut sugarcane leads the way, clean and grassy, with bright herbal notes close behind.
Palate: The entry is approachable and well-balanced, with the four producers each pulling their weight.
Finish: Medium in length, with a gentle warmth that lingers.
Clairin Communal is made from fresh sugarcane juice, fermented using wild, ambient yeast native to each of its four villages which means each producer's batch carries a distinct microbial fingerprint tied directly to its surroundings then distilled once in traditional pot stills fitted with external plates that coax out maximum flavor and complexity before being blended and bottled at 43% ABV with zero additives.
