After cooking, the agave is shredded and pressed to extract the juice, which is then fermented with a proprietary yeast strain and double-distilled in stainless steel pot stills, resulting in a crisp, clean tequila that's bottled without aging.

The founder, Don Julio González, revolutionized tequila production by planting his agave plants further apart than usual. This seemingly simple change allowed each plant more room to grow, resulting in larger, sweeter piñas and ultimately a more flavorful tequila.
