Cocktail Description

This herbaceous refresher brings the garden straight to your glass with a cooling wallop of fresh mint and basil that'll wake up your senses faster than a cold shower.

The Rum Garden Smash is a bright, botanical riff on the classic mojito that swaps out simple sugar for the subtle richness of cane syrup and adds a peppery basil note alongside traditional mint. Plantation 3 Stars white rum provides a clean, slightly funky backbone that lets the herbs shine, while fresh lime juice adds the kind of zippy tartness that makes you want to take another sip immediately. The churning technique creates a pleasantly slushy texture that keeps everything ice-cold and refreshing. This drink is perfect for warm afternoons on the patio, backyard barbecues, or anytime you need a cooling pick-me-up that feels a bit more sophisticated than your standard summer sipper. Making it requires a bit of elbow grease with all that churning, but the technique is simple enough for home bartenders—just requires a few minutes of patience and a good bar spoon. Pair this beauty with grilled shrimp skewers, fresh spring rolls, or a citrusy ceviche to complement those bright, herbaceous flavors.
