Cocktails for Thanksgiving: The Pomegranate Spritz, featuring Empress Gin
When it comes to cocktails, Thanksgiving calls for cheery, bold flavors that complement the menu. It doesn't hurt if the drink is simply gorgeous, too.
Here you'll find a delicious, light cocktail, tart and bright. Topped off with festive fizz, it will be the perfect accompaniment to holiday meals -- whether it's aperitif, main course, or dessert.
1.5 oz Empress 1908 Gin
3 oz pomegranate juice
2 dashes Regans' Orange Bitters
2 tsp apricot jam
sparkling wine of your choice
pomegranate seeds, whole cranberries, and rosemary sprig for garnish
Shake the first 4 ingredients on ice. Double strain into a cocktail glass and top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a generous amount of fresh cranberries, pomegranate seeds, and a sprig of fresh rosemary.
