Citadelle Vive le Cornichon, the first release in the limited "Les Excentriques" collection, infuses classic French gin with real cornichons (tart French pickles). Partnering with Burgundy’s Maison Marc, this culinary spirit flawlessly balances crisp juniper with mouthwatering brininess.
It completely reimagines savory gin. Instead of heavy olive or celery notes, hand-picked French pickles deliver a sophisticated, tangy salinity, proving that unconventional ingredients can still create a refined, world-class spirit.
Purpose-built for savory cocktails, its absolute best application is a Dirty Martini or Gibson. It also shines in a "Cornitonic" (Gin & Tonic with a splash of pickle brine) and pairs beautifully with charcuterie, oysters, or raclette cheese.
Nose: Herbaceous juniper and subtle aniseed with a bright, vinegary pop.
Palate: Crisp and smooth, blending classic gin botanicals with a fresh, delicate pickle brine.

Rather than distilling everything together, Maison Marc cornichons are soaked for six days to create a separate savory distillate. This pickle spirit is then expertly blended into Citadelle’s original 19-botanical gin base to ensure perfect balance.
