But the joke was… no joke, and the latest member of the Citadelle family found an immediate fan base with bartenders who couldn’t wait to get creative with this briny take on a savory-inflected gin.

Despite it’s unexpected star botanical, “Vive le Cornichon!” is quintessentially Citadelle: sophisticated and elegant, and the perfect base for a savory riff on the Dry Martini, Gibson, or Dirty Martini.
Pickle fans will want to indulge in the Cornichon Martini, with its savory bite and a cornichon garnish.
To make this surprising, and surprisingly delicious gin, mighty gherkins from Maison Marc are infused in Citadelle's Gin's beloved base. Maison Marc is the last remaining commercial cornichon producer in France, and they cultivate their Cucumis sativus from field-to-jar in Burgundy without insecticides, herbicides, or preservatives. Each cornichon is picked by hand.
