Cocktail Description

The Blue Cane Mule takes the beloved Moscow Mule template and gives it a proper Caribbean makeover with premium rhum agricole at its heart.

Built around Rhum Clément Canne Bleue—a grassy, vegetal expression of Martinique's famed cane juice rum—this cocktail balances the rhum's funky brightness with sharp lime juice, cane syrup for sweetness, and a few dashes of Peychaud's Bitters that add a subtle anise-herbal note. Topped with spicy ginger beer, it drinks crisp and refreshing with layers of complexity you won't find in the standard vodka version. The flavors lean bright and zingy rather than heavy, with the rhum's distinctive character shining through the ginger and citrus.

This is a fantastic warm-weather sipper, perfect for backyard gatherings, beach days, or whenever you want something that feels effortless but tastes refined. The preparation is straightforward—just shake, strain, and top—making it accessible even for home bartenders still building their skills. The Old-Fashioned glass keeps things casual and approachable.

For food pairings, think grilled fish tacos, jerk chicken, ceviche, or anything with Caribbean or Latin American spices. The ginger and lime cut through rich, spicy foods while the rhum's grassy notes complement lighter fare beautifully.
