Cocktail Description

This floral-scented riff on the classic Tom Collins adds a creamy, violet-kissed twist that transforms the familiar highball into something altogether more luxurious and visually stunning.

The combination of Old Tom gin's subtle sweetness with crème de violette creates a perfumed, slightly nostalgic flavor profile, while fresh lemon juice cuts through the richness of the cream to keep everything balanced and bright. The foam topper—achieved through either flash blending or dry shaking—gives the drink a silky, cloud-like cap that makes each sip feel indulgent. Though the technique requires a bit more effort than a standard Collins (you'll need either a blender or the patience for a dry shake), the striking presentation and velvety texture make it worth the extra steps. This is a cocktail for leisurely spring afternoons or elegant brunches where you want to impress guests with something both beautiful and delicious. The floral, creamy notes pair wonderfully with light fare like smoked salmon, delicate pastries, or fresh berries with whipped cream. Best enjoyed when you have time to appreciate both the craft behind it and the refined flavors within.
