Cocktail Description

This sparkling Southern-meets-tropical sipper brings together bright Caribbean rum and smooth Tennessee liqueur in a fizz that's as refreshing as it is approachable.

The Southern Star Fizz balances crisp white rum with the fruity, peachy warmth of Southern Comfort, all lifted by fresh lemon juice and a touch of sugar cane syrup. A few dashes of Angostura bitters add depth and spice, while the club soda extends everything into a tall, effervescent drink that's light on the palate but full of character. The orange and mint garnish brings an aromatic finish that makes each sip feel like a mini celebration.

This cocktail shines at backyard barbecues, summer porch sessions, or any casual get-together where you want something that tastes special without being fussy. It's easy enough for home bartenders who can shake a tin and pour soda—no advanced techniques required. The bright citrus and gentle sweetness make it a natural companion to grilled chicken, smoked pork shoulder, shrimp tacos, or tangy coleslaw. Think of it as a Southern cousin to a Tom Collins, with a little extra personality and a lot more charm.
