Cocktail Description

The Strawberry Tequila Smash is a bright, lively drink that's perfect when you want something that feels both sophisticated and fun at the same time.

This cocktail starts with fresh strawberries muddled right in the shaker, which releases their natural sweetness and creates a beautiful ruby-red base. The Milagro Reposado brings a smooth, slightly oaky backbone with hints of vanilla and caramel that play surprisingly well with the fruit, while fresh lime juice adds the sharp, citrusy punch needed to keep everything balanced. Giffard's cane sugar syrup rounds out the edges without making things too sweet, and the fine straining gives you a silky-smooth martini-style presentation that looks as good as it tastes.

This is a crowd-pleaser for spring and summer gatherings, or anytime you're craving something fruity without going full-on margarita. The drink isn't difficult to make, but you'll want ripe, flavorful strawberries—the quality of your fruit really shows up here. Because of the muddling and fine straining, it takes a bit more effort than a simple shake-and-pour, but nothing that'll slow you down.

Food-wise, think light and fresh: ceviche, grilled fish tacos, or a summer salad with goat cheese and arugula would all be excellent companions.
