Warm up with this spicy number! Coming to us from Imbibe Magazine, this recipe features not one but two rums for a split-base cocktail! The flavors are spiced tropical, with the star ingredient being the latest release from Ancho Reyes: Barrica.
Barrel Aged for two years, Ancho Reyes Barrica takes on the baking spice and vanilla notes from the American White Oak casks, adding richness and depth to this perfect-for-chilly-weather cocktail.
1 oz Goslings Black Seal Dark Rum (or another dark rum)
.75 oz Ancho Reyes Barrica Mexican Chile Liqueur
.5 oz Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum
.75 oz Orgeat Syrup
.5 oz pineapple juice
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
Strain into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube.
Garnish with nutmeg or a slice of pineapple.
