Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur is crafted using blood oranges harvested at the peak of ripeness from the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily. The fruit's essential oils are extracted through a unique process called "sfumatura," which involves pressing the orange peels against calcium carbonate to release their aromatic essence, resulting in a vibrant and intensely flavored liqueur.

Solerno's unique bottle design is inspired by the Murano perfume bottles of Venice, with each one hand-blown by Italian artisans to capture the essence of Sicilian craftsmanship.

The liqueur is made using three different varieties of Sicilian blood oranges, including the prized Sanguinello orange, which is harvested for just 3 weeks each year during the winter "blood orange season."

Solerno's creator, Lesley Gracie, is also the master distiller behind Hendrick's Gin. She spent years perfecting the recipe, even timing her visits to Sicily to coincide with the brief blood orange harvest to ensure the freshest ingredients.
