Cocktail Description

This fragrant floral martini variation marries the crisp, botanical notes of gin with the delicate perfume of violet liqueur, creating a captivating purple-tinged sipper that's as romantic as its name suggests.

The Amour-tini balances the juniper-forward Beefeater gin with the sweet, floral character of Crème de Violette, while dry vermouth provides structure and orange juice adds just enough brightness to prevent the drink from becoming overly perfumed. It's surprisingly approachable despite its sophisticated profile, offering subtle sweetness followed by a clean, dry finish. Though it requires multiple specialty ingredients, the Amour-tini is straightforward to prepare—simply shake, strain, and garnish with an orange twist to release those essential citrus oils.

This elegant cocktail shines as an aperitif for a romantic dinner or special occasion, particularly in spring or early summer evenings. Its delicate flavor profile pairs beautifully with light seafood dishes, particularly those featuring scallops or mild white fish, though it's equally at home alongside a cheese board featuring creamy, mild selections like brie or chèvre.
