Here's a fun one.
This is a riff on The Last Word, swapping out lime for lemon and using rosemary - and smoked rosemary at that! - instead of a brandied cherry.
We love the name, which has a kind of import and prestige to it that is fitting for something you'll be setting aflame. Caution, fireworks ahead!
Now there's nothing too complicated here when it comes to the pyrotechnics, but do note that in order to create the desired experience, the green herbal liqueur needs to be at a high enough proof (50% ABV - 100 proof - or higher) that it will ignite. So make sure to verify that whatever substitute you are using will work if you don't have Green Chartreuse itself on hand!
For today's recipe we are recommending Chartreuse Elixir Vegetal, which clocks in at 69% ABV. Plenty high enough for making some flames!

Ingredients
-
2 oz. St. George Botanivore Gin
-
.5 oz Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur
-
.5 oz Green Chartreuse, or another 50%+ ABV green herbal liqueur
-
.5 oz lemon juice
-
1-2 sprigs fresh rosemary
Directions
Take one of your sprigs of rosemary and soak it in the Chartreuse in the bottom of a glass.
Put all the other ingredients (except the garnish) in a shaker with ice. Shake 20-30 seconds until cold.
Carefully ignite the Chartreuse in the glass. Let burn for a few seconds.
Quickly strain the contents of your shaker over the top of the glass, extinguishing the flames.
Add cracked ice to glass. Stir. Garnish with an extra sprig of rosemary, if desired.
