The Last Word, but make it weird.
It's spooky season, so what's more fitting than a cocktail with twists and turns, that takes something familiar and turns it into something more fantastical?
Where The Last Word calls on classic spirits like gin, chartreuse, and maraschino liqueur, The Eulogy calls on the wilder side, with the lesser-known (but just as potently delicious) spirits of Batavia Arrack, Strega, and Velvet Falernum.
Batavia Arrack has strong, almost malt-like flavors that also carry a floral note, thanks to both rice and molasses. This brings funky depth, reminiscent of rum.
Velvet Falernum introduces a tropical sweetness and spice, with hints of clove and almond, giving the drink a subtle warmth that balances the tartness of the lime juice. The lime itself cuts through the richness, adding brightness and keeping the cocktail lively, even in its darker moments.
