Cocktail Description

This Caribbean powerhouse takes the classic sling template and gives it a tropical punch that'll wake up your taste buds faster than a steel drum at sunrise.

The Rum Grenadine Sling builds on the bold, funky character of Wray & Nephew overproof rum—a Jamaican spirit that brings serious ester-driven fruitiness and a hefty proof to the party. Balanced with bright citrus from both lime and lemon, quality sugar cane syrup, and pomegranate-rich grenadine, this drink lands somewhere between refreshing and robust. The club soda lightens the whole affair, stretching out those intense flavors into something you can actually sip on a warm afternoon without your head spinning. It tastes like a grown-up fruit punch with backbone—tart, slightly sweet, and unmistakably rum-forward.

This one shines at backyard barbecues, poolside hangs, or any time you want something more interesting than the standard highball but don't feel like fussing with ten ingredients. The shake-and-build method keeps it simple enough for home bartenders of any skill level. Pair it with jerk chicken, grilled shrimp skewers, or spicy fish tacos—anything with char and heat will play nicely against that tart-sweet balance and the rum's natural fruitiness.
