Cocktail Description

One sip of the Smoky Thistle Martini transports you to a misty Scottish moor where sweet florals dance with earthy peat smoke.

This sophisticated twist on a classic martini balances the intense maritime smokiness of Ardbeg Corryvreckan with the delicate elderflower notes of St-Germain, while Cynar's artichoke-based bitterness adds complexity and depth. The dry vermouth provides structure, and the flamed grapefruit zest garnish adds a bright, aromatic citrus note that cuts through the richness. Perfect for late evening contemplation or as an impressive opener to a special dinner party, this cocktail requires a well-stocked bar but employs a straightforward stirred technique that even novice home bartenders can master. The Smoky Thistle Martini pairs beautifully with bold-flavored appetizers like smoked salmon, aged cheeses, or charcuterie, where its complexity can stand up to rich, savory foods without overwhelming them.
