Strawberry season is a delight. It's short and oh-so-delicious.
Here's a great way to enjoy this favored late spring fruit -- pair it with lime, orange notes, and a good quality white (unaged) rum. We recommend Probitas for your rum, as it's a great high-quality option at a still affordable price. Try to get the ripest, most juicy strawberries you can find to help the flavor really sing.
This is an excellent summer rum cocktail that will put a smile on everyone's face!
Ingredients

2 ripe strawberries

2 oz white rum, like Foursquare Probitas

.75 oz lime juice

.5 oz orange liqueur, like Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao

.5 oz simple syrup

2 dashes orange bitters
Directions
Remove the stems of your strawberries and add to a cocktail shaker along with your rum.
Muddle with a muddler or a wooden spoon.
Add lime juice, curacao, simple syrup and orange bitters.
Add ice and shake for 30 seconds.
Double strain into a glass with ice.
Garnish with a lime wedge or strawberries!
