Coming off the excess and pageantry of the holidays, January's vibe is all about slowing down, taking it easy, and recalibration.
Luckily there are plenty of ways to still enjoy a sweet sip of something delicious while not going too over the top.
And this cocktail, with its charming retro name, perfectly fits the bill.
The Floppy Disk
Ingredients
2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
.5 oz Cynar
.5 oz Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao
.25 oz Craft Mezcal
2 oz chilled soda
grapefruit slice
Method
Shake the first four ingredients with ice until very cold. Add soda to an ice-filled glass, then strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into a glass. Garnish with a grapefruit slice.
