The day may come only once every four years, but don't let that keep you from enjoying this cocktail as often as it suits you.
Here we have a delightful and simple interplay of three classic cocktail ingredients, in an elegant presentation that is easy to make (and easy to sip!) on days both special and ordinary.
Though it only features three spirits, discover the infinite variety of flavors when you try out different types of gins, vermouths, and orange-based liqueurs, to see which really strike your fancy.
Perfect for a unique February day. Perfect for any day.
1.5 oz gin, like The Botanist
.75 oz Grand Marnier
.75 oz red sweet vermouth, like Baldoria
freshly-squeezed lemon juice (to taste) & rind
Add gin, Grand Marnier, vermouth, and lemon juice (to taste, not more than .25 oz) to cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass.
Lightly express the oils of the lemon rind over the surface of the drink.
