Yuzu seems to be having a moment! This lesser-known citrus fruit carries the flavors of lemon and mandarin with subtle notes of grapefruit and a floral finish. It provides a lovely element of something different when it comes to classic cocktails (use as you would a typical orange liqueur), but takes center stage in cocktails meant to showcase the nuances of it's signature sweet-tart-floral tastes. The High Passion is one of them.
Yuzuri Yuzu Liqueur and Kikori Rice Liqueur are both made using spirits distilled from the same locally grown rice and pristine groundwater on Southern Japane's Kyushu Island.
The High Passion was created in homage to their strengths and the harmonious way they work together - delicate flavors made richer by the sweet, bright flavor of passion fruit and a touch of added tart from the lemon.
This is an elegant and utterly simply cocktail, perfect for evening sipping or when you're shaking up something special for someone special.
