Cocktail Description

This refreshing spin on the classic gimlet brings your garden to the glass, muddling fresh cucumber with mint for a drink that tastes like springtime in a coupe.

The Cucumber Garden Gimlet balances Beefeater's crisp juniper notes with the cool, clean flavors of muddled English cucumber and bright mint, while lime juice and cane syrup provide the sweet-tart backbone that makes any gimlet so drinkable. The muddling releases the cucumber's delicate essence and the mint's aromatic oils, creating a beautifully fragrant cocktail that's both familiar and surprising. This is an ideal choice for warm weather gatherings, garden parties, or any time you want something lighter than a traditional gin cocktail but still crave that London Dry backbone. Making it requires a bit of muddling effort, but the technique is straightforward enough for home bartenders of any skill level—just don't overwork the mint or it'll turn bitter. The drink's fresh, herbaceous character pairs beautifully with lighter fare like salads, grilled fish, fresh oysters, or vegetable-forward dishes that won't compete with its delicate flavors. That thin cucumber slice floating on top isn't just pretty; it adds a final whisper of garden freshness with each sip.
