This is a delicate sounding cocktail that stands up to the strong stuff! The split-rum base delivers loads of flavor, and even more so when you use the two rums recommended here -- Probitas, a blended white rum, and R.L. Seale's 12 Year Aged Rum, both crafted in Barbados at Foursquare Rum Distillery, distilled with the careful supervision and unmatched palate of Mr. Richard Seale himself.
These rums are unadulterated -- nothing added. That means no colors or flavorings (or sugar!) to enhance what you pour. Just pure rum goodness.
The Aster & Primrose cocktail is inspired by the classic "daisy" family of drinks - some of the most famous being the Margarita and the Sidecar.
Here there are layers of additional flavor that round things out the finished drink is tropical and refreshing with a nice hint of baking spices.
