This spooky bright red sipper is full of rich autumn flavor with bourbon, pomegranate, and raspberry.

Perfect for a themed Halloween party or skip the blood treatment and enjoy as an elegant fall drink!

Ingredients

For Vampire-Blood Rim

4 oz sugar
2 oz beet juice
2 oz karo syrup, light

For Cocktail

2 oz pomegranate juice
1.5 oz bourbon
.5 oz Chambord
½ lemon, juiced
1 tsp maple syrup, or to taste

Directions

For Vampire-Blood Rim

Combine ingredients in a pan and cook over medium high heat.
Stir and let it come to a slow boil. Turn off heat.
While the mixture is still hot, dunk the top of the cocktail glass into the mixture to create the bloody rim.
Flip the glass right side up until it is done dripping.
Let cool for one hour to harden.

For Cocktail

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake.
Strain into the prepared cocktail glass.
