This rich and flavorful drink pairs tequila with passion fruit, and adds in well-known functional ingredients like honey, sage, and turmeric, for tropical cocktail goodness.
1 oz Chinola Passion Fruit Liqueur
1 oz Tequila Blanco
1 oz pineapple juice
.75 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
.5 oz turmeric honey syrup*
2 sage leaves
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well.
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with pineapple wedge and a sage leaf.
*For turmeric honey syrup:
Juice .25 cups of fresh turmeric juice (from about 1 cup of fresh whole turmeric). Combine this with 3 cups of orange blossom, or similar light honey, and 1 cup of hot water. Stir until well combine and store refrigerated.
